- I have always been interested in flying helicopters. How can I get started?
Just call or visit our flight training office. A flight specialist will discuss your needs and goals, and design a program suited to your schedule, personality and budget.
- What type of instruction course is used?
Our flight training program was developed and is supervised by our Chief Flight Instructor, Bob Poe. He has over 30,000 flight hours including proficiency in military and civilian instruction. His ratings are through Certified Flight Instructor Instrument.
He has been instructing over 40 years and; as such, has the experience, expertise and versatility to assess the needs and training for any student.
- What can I do with a license?
A a private pilot may fly for business or recreation, day or night in good weather conditions. Helicopters today are built safer and more economical than ever. You have an advantage over airplanes - No Runway Required! There are countless destinations and possibilities within a one or two hours flight, or a multitude of time saving benefits for your business.
- I just need to become current or desire additional ratings. Can you help me?
Our schedule can be tailored to meet your requirements at any level of helicopter training you may require from beginning student to the experienced pilot seeking additional ratings or flight time. At an hourly rate, our instructors will design a ground study course to prepare you for a particular written exam or ratings, even if you do not require flight instruction.

We will design a course of helicopter flight instruction which is conducted on a one-on-one basis without the formal classroom. This method gives the student and the instructor more opportunity for dialogue. The instructor is then better able to assess the students understanding of each phase of study and of flight skills.

The helicopter used for advanced ratings and/or certification training is the Bell 206 Jet Ranger, a five place turbine powered helicopter. The cost per hour of flight instruction is $775.
