Whirl-Away Helicopters Inc. is an on-demand air charter operator holding a Federal Aviation Administration issued Air Carrier Operating Certificate, providing air transportation to the public. Certified Air Charter Operators conduct operations under Part 135 regulations which are essentially derived from the same regulations used to govern major airlines, with changes to accommodate non-scheduled, on-demand transportation. Due to airline regulations, the Part 135 operator provides for an equivalent level of safety through controlled operational procedures, maintenance requirements, crew member training and FAA mandated testing requirements. Whirl-Away Helicopters Inc. has held its Air Carrier Certificate since 1972, with no interruption of service.

We operate a Bell Jet Ranger which accommodates up to four passengers, with typical speeds of 120 mph and a non-stop range of approximately 250 miles.

If you request Air Charter services through Whirl-Away Helicopters you will be asked a variety of questions relating to your needs. These questions are designed to provide you with the safest most economical route of transportation. To accomplish this goal, you will be asked your destination, the number of passengers, weights, pick-up points, time of departure and/or arrival, if your trip requires an overnight stay, in addition to other pertinent information. The two most important factors in planning helicopter transport are weather and location. Your pilot will make your flight as pleasant, comfortable and safe as possible. You will plan your trip with a flight operations specialist and directly with your pilot in order to assure each requirement is met.
